The nerve of some people.
Thanks to an anonymous tip, I found out that there is actually someone who is trying to sell my Angry Birds template on yahoo Hong Kong's auction. See link here.
I tried to report to yahoo HK auction but did not have the required 8 feedbacks to do so.
Their website was also not very user-friendly and I could not find any email contact to report this matter.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Just don't like the idea that people are trying to sell my templates which I have made free for all.

NECA Cult Classics Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs

The Silence of the Lambs movie is based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Harris.
In the movie, Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), an FBI trainee, seeks the advice of the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter (played by the outstanding Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer, on catching another serial killer called Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb.
This movie has become a classic and Dr. Hannibal Lecter a pop culture icon.

When NECA announced that they were doing this version of Hannibal Lecter, I knew that this figure will be part of my toy collection!
NECA does produce excellent figures in terms of sculpting for the 6" market. It has also gotten pretty solid licences (they seem to have overtaken Mcfarlane in this area).
The sculpting is good here, you can immediately recognise Anthony Hopkins. I like the way they scultped the expression of the face. A very classic Hannibal Lecter's look. That cold dagger stare! It just brings chill to my spine!
The details on the face and clothes are also impressive. I especially like the way they sculpted the creases on his jacket and prision overall.
If I have to nit pick, it would be the hair. I have looked at pictures of Hannibal Lecter as in this version of the figure and I don't remember his hair being combed nicely. It was more messy as compared to how NECA sculpted his hair.

The painting here is excellent especially on the stray jacket. The wash effect is done just right. The only complaint I have is that the painting of the eyebrows are way too thick. I don't recall Anthony Hopkins having such thick eyebrows!
What I really like about this figure are the accessories. He comes with his leather mask and handcart. On yeah! The iconic leather mask! It is very well done and fits nicely onto the face of the figure. The handcart is also well made with good detailing.

Overall, a very well-made figure with a decent price. In my case, a pop culture icon which deserves to be part of my toy collection.

21st Century Toys Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow P-40 WarHawk

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow was one of the first major films to be shot entirely on a "digital backlot", blending live actors with computer generated surroundings. The 2004 science fiction film was written and directed by Kerry Conran. The film is set in an alternative 1939 and follows the adventures of Polly Perkins, a newspaper reporter for The Chronicle played by Gwyneth Paltrow and H. Joseph "Joe" Sullivan aka Sky Captain played by Jude Law.
Sky Captain only managed to gross in US$57.9 million worldwide, grossly under its estimated US$70 million budget.

To be honest, I never really watched this film in its entirety. Hence I can't really comment on the movie. However the wife seems to like it (maybe it's just Jude Law).
What I can comment is the plane that Sky Captain pilots, the P-40 Warhawk.
21st Century Toys has given us the scale model of the P-40 Warhawk. When I first saw the plane at Miniature Hobby (Vivo), I wanted to get it but it was in the scale of 1:18 making it way too big for my toy room. A few weeks later, they were selling the smaller 1:32 scale version and I grabbed it without hesitation!

The P-40 fighter was the last of the famous "Hawk" line produced by Curtiss Aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s, and it shared certain design elements with its predecessors, the Hawk and Sparrowhawk. It was the third-most numerous US fighter of World War II. (for more info you can read it at wikipedia)

I must admit it's an incredibly detailed aircraft! The propeller, nose art, and exhaust pipes look good. The wings also have detailed rivets and panels.
The landing gear is retractable so you can display it like it's park on the ground on in full flight when the landing gear is up.
It comes with a Sky Captain figure and with the ability to open the cockpit, you are able to fit Sky Captain in quite nicely. Too bad it does not come with a Polly Perkins figure as well.
There is some assembly needed, mainly you'll need to screw on the wings to the main body.

Overall a pretty cool toy to have especially if you have a thing for WW2 fighter planes. The Warhawk makes for an excellent display piece, and it has play value too.
