Kit Bash Del Spooner (Will Smith) in I,Robot

I,Robot was a 2004 American science fiction action film directed by Alex Proyas.
The film was inspired by Isaac Asimov's short story collection of the same name. Will Smith stars in the lead role of the film as Detective Del Spooner.
Spooner investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot and a possible violation of the 3 laws of Robotics, which leads to a larger threat to humanity.

My wife has stated that in recent years, Will Smith's movies have been pretty bad and the standards have dropped, compared to his previous works. She has highlighted "I am Legend", "Hancock", "After Earth" and "I,Robot" as examples of his worst works. Even though I tend to agree with her, I do like the movie I,Robot.

One advantage of collecting 12" figures is that you can do your own kit bash of your favourite characters even though no toy companies are doing them.
Everyone seem to be doing the "I am Legend" kit bash recently but since I like I,Robot better, I decided to kit bash Spooner instead.
Recently MC Toys has released their 1/6 scale plainclothes cop set which is basically what Smith wore in the movie.
It comes with the following:
1) beanie
2) t-shirt
3) leather shoulder holster
4) leather long coat
5) leather pants
6) the all star shoes
1/6 scale head sculpt and 12 inch body is not included.

The leather long coat is pretty big, so I suggest getting a broad shoulder body.

As the set does not come with a head sculpt, I used the loading toy Will Smith head.
The loading toy version sculpt is best suited for his role in I,Robot and I am Legend where he had a more scruffy look. There are other companies doing Smith's sculpt but they are more towards his character in MIB where the look is cleaner.

Overall, an interesting figure to have in my collection.
It would be interesting to see who actually recognizes Detective Spooner!
