Sideshow 2nd Airborne Company Trooper

The 2nd Airborne Company was a division of the Grand Army of the Republic during of the Clone Wars that consisted of the clone paratroopers. The clone troopers of the 2nd Airborne Company were outfitted with heavy armor suits and helmets designed for high altitude drops. Their armor was marked with two orange slashes across the chest

I do have to agree with my wife that the majority of the design of the clone troopers are the same. They merely have different color schemes. Ain't we all just suckers for clone troopers. The more the merrier I say. wife buys the same shoes in different colors so yes we are even.
But the troopers from the 2nd Airborne Company have a totally different design for the helmet as they are meant to withstand high altitude drops...and boy is the design UGLY.

The design of the helmet reminds me of the Michelin man.

After countless troopers releases by Sideshow, we are all too familiar with the packaging.
The packaging for the Airborne troopers is no different from the past releases.

A nice trivia of the 2nd Airborne Company - where they fought and which Battalion they were attached to in the Clone Wars.

One thing I like about the packaging is that everything is packed nicely in plastic trays.

I will not fault the sculpting just because the source design is ugly.
Sideshow has vast experience in producing troopers and this trooper is no different.
There are many parts that were reused but the helmet is a new sculpt and I think they have done a good job on it.

We get the standard accessories that we are familiar with.
Nothing out of the ordinary.

Even though I don't like the design of the helmet, at least it is unique.
Overall if you are collecting the Sideshow troopers this is a good addition as the design will break the monotony of the other troopers.

The airborne trooper taking orders from Commander Cody.
The 2nd Airborne was subordinated to the 212th Attack Battalion of the 7th Sky Corps of the Third Systems Army led by Commander Cody and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
