What are your priorities?

J is for Juggling.
No...not this kind of juggling.

But juggling Work, Family & pursuing one's passion!
For my case, my passion is toy collecting/papercraft and blogging about it.

It is always hard to juggle these 3 areas and sometimes certain areas get neglected.
There are only 24 hrs in a day and there is never enough time to do everything.
Sometimes I don't spend as much time with the family because of work or I spend my freetime blogging about my toys.
Sometimes I neglect my toys and I just stuff boxes of unopened toys in the storeroom because of work or spending time with the family.
However one common trend is that I tend not to sacrifice work for family or my toy collecting/papercraft.
And the funny thing is work is the least favourite thing and actually the least important of them all.
Yes work pays the bill but it does not fill you with love, joy and color in life like family or pursuing your passion do.
Life is too short to miss out on that!

Like a story I heard.

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit (pursuing your passion) and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.”

I am currently taking part in the A to Z challenge and here are the entries so far: A / B / C / D / E / F / G / H / I

FAMILY number ONE, work pays the bill and hobby is for time left after family haha :) when your kid grows up, he doesn't want to spend time with you anymore (he's got his own friends) and many people on their death bed always regret not spending enough time with their loved ones. Once you've got a great family bond, nothing will break that, even when the kids are all grown up; they'll still share with you stuff. Just my two cents worth CHEERS
