I was at my in-laws' place for lunch today when from the corner of my eye I spotted something my nephew was playing with.
He was playing with the Angry Birds playset.
Upon closer inspection, it was the bootleg version of the Mattel Angry Birds playset. I am not sure if Mattel has launched their playset as I have not seen it in stores yet.
It comes with the planks of wood so that you can make your own defenses for the green pigs.
A working catapult so you can launch your angry birds, 4 green pigs and the 6 different angry birds.
I found the pigs pretty well made but for the case of the birds, the painting is horrible. Hahaha...I guess that's what you get for a bootleg version.
Bootleg or not, it was real fun playing with it. It was like creating your very own angry birds game outside of your smartphone!
Check out my paper version of Angry Birds.
Later on I realised that the crystal thingy was not part of the playset.
4 green pigs
The 6 different Angry Birds
Not so well painted Angry Birds
Ready to launch
Let's play
Take aim
Game Over!!

There's still 2 pigs left!! lol I didn't even know this was available! I want to get the Mattel one haha
bootleg = thumbs down... originals = thumbs up !!! HAHAHAHAHAHA... i know it sounds a bit controversial, but that’s my point of view with all that involves... BTW un-official = welcome LOL... an original Angry Birds set is somethin i would consider to own =)
Jcee - Cool right...not sure if Mattel launched this already...if you get it please review...would love to see it.
chrismandesign - Yes I dont support bootleg but I guess for my nephew to play...it is good enough...LOL
I don't think it's a bootleg set, I think it's a sample set. I used to work for the walmart home office and we would get stuff like this all the time. As for this being on the market.....As of 9-23-11 that is a no.
Thanks for info Bert
